Advanced and air-proven:
Fibre composites from KREMPEL in aviation
Wherever you look in an aircraft, you can see parts made of fibre composite materials. The handles for the emergency exits in the Airbus are made of WACOSIT® plastic profiles for example. These pultruded profiles are characterised by good mechanical and thermal properties, a high degree of surface smoothness and reliable dimensional accuracy.
In addition to rovings, fabric tape and glass mats are used to improve the compressive and shear strength where high tensile strength is required. Most structural components in the interior are also made of composites, ranging from wall linings to air-conditioning pipes: Glass-fabric phenolic-resin prepregs are used here.
These satisfy the high demands placed on fire behaviour, toxicity and smoke gas density as stipulated in ATS 1000.001.
So that you are equipped for the future: Prepregs, sheets, tubes and profiles from KREMPEL.
