Special laminates for protective clothing

Protective suits are needed for many different kinds of dangerous work. These suits must reliably protect the wearer against any chemicals present and also withstand tearing, abrasion or naked flames. For the health of the wearer will be seriously endangered if the suit should lose its protective properties.

The excellent characteristics of TEDLAR® PVF film as a component in a multi-layer laminate have made a crucial contribution to solving this problem, because TEDLAR® possesses very good tear strength and abrasion resistance and is also resistant to sunlight, solvents, acids, bases, moisture and oxidation. The non-stick, dirt-repellent surface is easy to clean and the film properties are practically constant in a temperature range from -70 °C to +110 °C. Even short-time temperature peaks of up to 200 °C do not pose any problem at all.
